1999 F150 4x4 options

The truck I just purchased has the 6500# GVWR option and the Class III trailer tow package. Can anyone tell me what these two options added to the truck?

Thanks!

If I remember correctly, the payload package gets heavier springs and shocks and I believe heavier cooling. The tow package includes the hitch, heavier cooling, heavier battery, and transmission cooler.

i was interested in your question, and here's what i got on google-- GVWR(gross vehicle weight rating) which means the allowed total weight for the vehicle including the driver, passenger, accessories..and the tongue weight of the trailer.

the last one, this is where your ClassIII trailer tow package comes, your vehicle belongs to this class meaning you can have a tongue weight maximum of 650 lbs.(10% of 6500). hope this helps.
