Bug Shield: Chrome or Stainless?

Well after a full week of my commute, it's become apparent to me that I would benefit from a bug shield. I am leaning toward a bright bug shield rather than the smoked look. Moss (Summer Issue 2 - 0506) has two bright bug shields listed:

p7 - Chrome Bug Deflector by EGR - "...Chromed Hoodshields are manufactured from tough polymer substrate and plated to OEM standards."

p20 - Stainless Bug Deflector by Lund - "Constructed of high quality 304 stainless steel for a brilliant and enduring finish."

My gut feeling is that the stainless will hold up much better. Seems like chrome plating on plastic is just a chip through the chrome waiting to happen. However, this is the material that the grill surround is made up of so I know that such a bug shield would match well. I am also not sure how bright the stainless would remain or if it would even be as bright as the chrome to begin with.

Anyone have experience (or better yet-- pictures) with either of these products, or any other?
