Which Lights to Go With...PIAA, KC, etc.???
I am looking to mount a set of lights behind my grill to use during the hunting season as well as late at night driving home. I live in the middle of no where and the stock headlight/foglight combo just doesn't cut it when it comes to going over hills and around turns on country roads late at night. I am looking for the best performance I can get with spending around $150-225 for the lights. I want something that is not necessarily "off-road" only such as pencil beams, but something that is extrememly bright but also something that will shine quite a ways. I've seen a lot about the PIAA 520 series but I don't know how well these perform. So basically, I want something that will shine up the road in front of me for quite a ways but are still legal...or almost legal.
So i see everyone loves the PIAA lights. Alright, but what model? Once again, I'm looking for something that will light up the entire road way (both lanes) and also shine quite a ways in front of me... Not sure if I need driving lights?? I don't think I want the Long range lights. So what does everyone reccommend and whats the cheapest place the buy??
Depends on how much you want to spend. The 520's are a good light, lots of folks run them. They put out a pretty gooda mount of light. For some extra dough though, I'd say go with the PIAA 80's. They are a bit bigger and a lot more powerful.
What does everyone think about this? I like the look of the PIAA air dam that allows for a set of PIAA 520 and a set of PIAA 510's. How well would I light up the road if I were to have 520 driving lights and 510 driving lights installed along with the stock headlights?
Or will having the 510 driving lights with a set of 520 fog lights be plently of light?

Having two sets will be a bit overkill. I'd recommend fogs for the 520s, driving lights for the 510's, that way you can use the fogs when you want light fairly close to the vehicle, adn the 510 driving lights when you want light down the road.
Replacing your bulbs in your stock headlamps can give you a much brighter/better light while saving money if you are looking for a medium improvement. Bulb prices range anywhere from $40 for my bubls, Sylvia Silverstars, to upwards of $100's of dollars for those extreme white/blue halogen bubls lke you see in expensive luxury cars that blind you when you are driving. If you are talking about replacing your stock headlamp assemblies with PIAA headlamps, check out their website, they have tons of information over what they offer and what applications it is made for...However, this is damn expensive, but well worth it from what I have heard.
PIAA PIAA PIAA PIAA. i dont know how they perform either but they look awsome!
