Looking for any and all info on behind the grill light kits

I want to mount a set of light such as PIAA's behind my grill and I would like to know a few things about them. First, how do the lights shine behind the grill??? Does the grill cause any problems as far as the lightin pattern goes?? Also, does PIAA, KC, or any other major brand offer some kind of kit for this or am I looking at a complete custom fabrication for this. And finally, if available, can those of you with this modification done post some pics, preferrably 01-03 F150's. Thanks.

I am also wondering about this. I would like to mount some PIAA 520's behind my grill, but I would like to see someone with it done and how hard is it to do?

Im pretty sure its all custom, ive seen atleast 2 or 3 in person. I've seen rectangular and circular lenses, and both look decent. I am considering doing it down the road to my 01, after seeing a black 98 with projectors and PIAA's behind the grill.

Could you do this behind a billet grill and still get enough light through the grill to be noticable?

I've seen a few with lights behind a billet grill. I've never talked to anyone with the mod though, so I have no idea how the lights shine behind any grill...
