Locking Cover

Hey all-
I need a locking cover for my bed, but I dont want to shell out the cash for a fiberglass one...plus I don't like the idea of not being able to use the whole bed. This is my first truck, so I don't know what's out there. Is there a non-fiberglass, locking cover that won't break the bank?
Thanks a lot guys.
Glad to be an F150 owner!
Ryan

I've got a Retrax that I love. My other truck has a hard fiberglass snugtop lid, and this rolling cover is much more functional. I don't have to take off the lid to haul around tall items, I can reach any part of the bed without having to flex like crazy to duck under the front of the lid to get near the front items

As far as breaking the bank, it's relative.

www.truckgadgets.com is where I got my retrax, I think it was around $900 for the cover/tailgate gasket/additional electronic lock.

Some guys like the undercover, I think it's about half of the retrax cost. It's a rigid cover.

A search for any of those items will return a lot.

I've got the Rollbak - very similar to the retrax- aluminum roll up...you lose the rear 10" of the bed for the canister.. $694 self installed in about 1.5hrs

I have an Undercover.

Made of some plastic composite type stuff. Lightwieght, easy to install, and doesnt have a big ugly lock sticking up in the middle.

Got it at StylinConcepts for 6 or 700 bucks, cant remember exactley.
I could get a pic of it if you want me to.

I have a Roll N' Lock and like it alot. It has three built in "stopping points" if you wish to use them or it will slide fully open if you wish

You lose around 8 - 10 inches on top and almost nothing under the top

I got a Undercover a couple of months ago that I'm very happy with. This July 4th the city was having a fireworks show over at the high school. I don't live too far but I couldn't see over the trees. Backed the F150 down the driveway and stood on the Undercover to watch the show. Here's a link for more info and pricing:Undercover Tonneau

I just put a Fold-a-Cover on my 01 SCREW and love it. Its lockable and removable weighs about 45 lbs. Thier site is http://www.fold-a-cover.com/

I just did a trip up to New England and back got caught in the rain from TD Cristy? Not a drop of water got into the bed.

It is easy to remove and put on once it has been installed. My 16 year old daughter helped me install it 1.5hrs. To take it on and off 5 minutes.
