If you install a bug shield, will you sell my your hood?????

Because it will be totally useless at that point.

Bug shields suck, take the chips like a man

Cool

I have to agree the shield would detract from the hood.

Thumbs up

That's it. 4 is all I need. No deflector for me. Thank-You very much. I thought that was the way the opinion would go. I myself said the same thing. It wouldn't look right. Don't know what the hell I was thinking. I'll take my chips like a man. Well, also doesn't hurt to have a good friend that own a bodyshop. LIKE A MAN I SAID!LOL. But you know how it is when you get one little ding somewhere. You want to call the ambulance and hope nobody sees the ding while driving down the road. Got no dings though. You know? I could put a deflector on, so people can get bitter beer face looking at that instead of the ding. Till I get it fixed of coarse, which would only be a week. THAT'S IT! I'm such a genius.LOL Again thanks.

Question YES or NO?

I'd like to get alittle bit of advice or thoughts. I was thinking of putting a bug shield on the ram air hood. Not a smoked or carbon fiber one. A clear one painted the color of the truck. One that's not too high that it sticks out like a sore thumb, but not to short that it won't serve it purpose. The reason for it would be, to save the hood from the nicks and chips we encounter everyday on the road.
Then I think, It would look stupid. So, what do ya's think?

I'm like you I hate having chips in my hood. IMO they look good on a stock hood only. I want a crowl induction hood but know I would get some chips in it. So in other words with an aftermarket hood, leave it off.

I agree. I like mine, but if I had your hood I don't think I would use one.

Mudder, with a name like that, your going to tell me, you take care of your truck.
Now if your nickname was waxaholic or something like that, I might be inclined to believe you, but Mudder? NAH

Have you ever taken your $20-30K truck off of pavement or cement?

Not me, guess that's why I get total payback when I'm ready to sell it. Never lose more then 2K on a vehicle in my life.

But right, sell right.

XTrucky... open mouth, insert foot.

Mudder? Show the pics, Mudder... In the swamp, and the trophies.

Believe it or not, it is possible to take a $30k truck into the thick and gooey and still win shows with it. Watch how you judge people based on their screen-name.

Based on mine, I suppose you think I'm in the military?? not even close...

Talking

I had a Bugflector II on mine for about three months. I finally got sick of it and pulled it off. I guess I've been lucky(knock on wood) no chips yet. Only my opinion, but scoops and bug deflectors just don't look right together. I just keep remembering all those 70's cars running around with the flat bright yellow(or red) shields, and a poor hood scoop starving for air behind it,LOL. Hey? What were those things called that clipped over the top of them? They looked like a person looking over a fence,hehehe,,,,,98
