Post NERF BAR Question? Prevent door dingies??

Hi all,

I have the factory bar on my F150 and was wondering if the nerf bars stick out further to prevent the nasty door dings?
I have the flare side and they dont come with the moldings nor do I wish to put them on. I'm still worried about parking next to IDIOTS though

Thanks 4 the help!

Glade

They may help with a very small car but not anymore than the factory steps. IMO that is. I put mine on cause they look good . BTW if you are parked next to a truck and they whack you with their door there isn't anything I can think of that would help. Maybe those foam door protectors but they would have to be lined up to within an inch to hit the exact spot. Oh and I 'm just not that lucky. Best advice for ya, park beside a tree or curb or something and pray nobody hits your baby. Oh and don't pull up next to a drunk guys mail box, murphy states he will open your door right into it (I was designated driver cause the crew cab, DOH!). I'm just waiting for his slow and painful death, should be along shortly .

Hope this helps
Jimmar

Oh wait, just thought of something, those double bend grisly bars. They stick out farther I think. Might just give you the defence you need. Do a search in appearance products for the guy who put them on (or if your like me browse and pick up some other good mod ideas). Oh yeah and they look good too!

or better, just jack your truck up high enough that if they open a door near your truck it takes the window out I betyou they wont park next to a big truck again...
