Question Expy Centre Console Question

I have a S.Crew with the centre console in it but find that it is too low for me to rest my arm on. I was wondering it the new expy consoles are higher. anyone know?

Thanks
James

Question

Does that mean that they are as high as the armrests that you get with the leather Lariat or that it is as high as the centre console I already have in my truck?

Sorry for the misunderstanding
Jim

Thumbs up

BlueFlareside,
What a great color! I wanted that for my SCrew, but couldn't find one. Anyway, my question: Do the armrests still come down with the Expy console? Or have you just retired them to their upright and locked positions? Thanks!

With the 2000 console the armrests must stay upright as in mine. The 98-99 consoles are narrower and you can still use the armrests. I went with the 2000 because of the larger size.

What 4DOOR said! I have a '98 console so my armrests still work. The '00-'01 consoles are wider.

I saw that the 2002 F-150's are available in True Blue Metallic and they are deleting the Deep Wedgewood Blue. I wonder if this new blue will be like the moonlight blue that I have.

My next truck ('03 or '04) will be a SuperCrew in white with tan on the bottom. I am done with darker colors for awhile. My last vehicle was a '94 Mustang GT in Deep Forest Green metallic and my wife has a dark green Accord. In Florida the lighter the color the better.

Question

Ok let me see if I have this right, all the Expy consoles are the same height only the newer ones 00 & 01 are wider at the top and render the arm rests on the captains chairs useless, if you want to keep them functional get a 98 or 99 Expy console? I know I didn't start this thread but I was going to post and ask what the difference was between the newer and older Expy console before I bought one for my 98. I use the arm rests constantly so I take it that the 98 or 99 Expy console is the one I'm looking for. Am I right or have I gotten all mixed up reading this thread?

OK Speedy ... I just can't stand it ... PLEASE use Steve's excellent search engine. There is a TON of information on this ... and BlueFlareside can only type so fast for the new arrivals . Try the following (and there are more):
It's a great mod ... Best of Luck

Question

Ok I did some searching around and found what I was looking for only I do have two questions that I did not find any answers on.

1 If the console out of the Expy dose not come with the bin like the f150 console has can my original bin from fit inside the Expy console?

2 Has anyone found a fix for the hole left in the rear of the console from the expy rear radio controls?

Like I said these are 2 questions that I have that I did not find answers to elsewhere.

Thanks

FedExPilot,
Thanks for putting all of the links in here. I am going to be making a web page with all sorts of FAQ on it when I get the time.

1. The bin will fit if you trim some of the top sides off. I used tin snips and cut mine to fit.

2. I just left the hole there because I never see it in my SuperCab.

Make sure you talk to Darrin at LWM for your console. Tell him Steve from Florida referred you. 1-800-259-5842
