Thanks a bunch for the update XTRUKY. I haven't gotten around to it yet, but I'll be sure to use denatured. It's for my boat trailer, so it doesn't have to be perfect. Thanks again.

Post Removing Painted On Pinstriping

Someone, some time back had posted a question, How do you remove painted on Pinstriping? I answered, use Isopropyl alcohol. I was wrong!!! Use De-Natured Alcohol.(can be bought at hardware stores) I had some freehand striping done this weekend. Two days later I noticed one of the stripes was not level. I called the striper and he said to come back, sure nuff, it was crooked. He used de-natured alcohol to remove the dry paint. He said no matter how old, or how dry, de-natured alcohol will take it right off. Same goes for lettering that has been painted on. FYI
