I have a 99 Expedition and I am trying to put a Lightning front bumper on it. What do I need to get to make it work (I haven't bought anything yet, so anyone with a front bumper assembly, or headlights, please let me know). The Ford dealer told me there are two parts #1 the bumper reinforcement, and #2 the cover itself. Is their anything else besides the fog lights that I would need? Thanks

 

The lower grill comes to mind. The dealer wanted $217 just for that one piece of plastic. Look for lightning owners that have switched to an aftermarket grill, you can pick them up used for a lot less.

I had the L front end put on my SCrew before I took delivery - dealer did a great job. From what I understand, they had to put on a new bumper, the bumper cover, the fogs, and a new headlight switch if you don't already have foglights. Just remembered, they will have to order both grille inserts (one for the grille - one for the bumper cover). I would recommend getting the ones from the '01 Lightning - look much better than the old ones (I am going to change mine out soon). Total for parts and labor was around $1200, but it was worth it.

I was leaning toward the billet aluminum grills for both of them. So if I were to purchase those 5 pieces (the two grills, the bumper support, the fog lights and the bumper cover) I wouldn't need to buy anything else (I already have the fog light switch). When I called the ford dealer the bumper support was about $300 and so was the cover. So if you figure $600 (I have no idea what the fog lights cost), and another $200 in parts (fog's and grills), $1,200 installed sounds right (although I will paint it and put it on myself). Thanks for your guys help. I don't guess anyone has any of these parts they want to sell =)

 

you can order the bumper cover with the fog lamps already in it.. i've looked it up a few different times.. i wanna get just the front bumper/cover from a navigator, and keep the resst of the f150 front end.. i don't know how those would fit together though

 

You didn't happen to get a price for the bumper with the fog's in it did you? I know you can put a navigator front end on a expedition (I have seen them do it to an F-150 in person). The only question I would raise is if you would have to buy the fenders / lights and hood to make it work?? Thanks!!

Well after seeing those pictures, how can I not do this!! That is even the hood I am going to pucchase. Cervini makes that hood right? Do they make the kit yet that makes the ram air functional? Thanks for the pictures!!

 

well i don't want the whole front end to a navigator, i just like the style of the bumper cover.. but as for the price for the bumper cover + foglamps.. let me check tuesday at work and see what i can do about a price for the L cover..
