Post SLOWLY MY DASH IS COMING TOGETHER

i made a billet shifter fit my truck and i'm installing a billet wheel. i have had a bunch of my dash carbon fiber coated(these are not stick on pieces, but rather factory pieces coated), i'm still waiting on a few billet pieces so i can finish putting my dash together and i'll have more pics.

Thumbs up

Looks great! But wondering, what about the overdrive switch at the end of the shifter and the airbag? Who fiber coats those pieces and whats it cost?

See ya, Scott

scott, the airbag is gone along with the cruise controls. i took the wires out of the original shifter for the overdrive and mounted the switch under the dash, i don't use this button very often but i wanted to have that option. the carbon coating is actually a simulation, it isn't cheap but they can coat anything, http://dashboardsplus.com/ #800-221-8161 ext.240, speak to robyn kroell.

Is this a show truck or your daily driver? I ask because I was wondering if removing the airbags was actually legal (in your state or all 50 states). Is this something they can get you for at the yearly inspection or if you ever get pulled over??

Just curious...

Cool

I don't konow about the legality, but we don't have state inspections here in KY. So Ward, what are you driving? Did you get the '92 done yet?

I just called Dashboards Plus.

I am sending my stuff out for the brushed aluminum photothesis thing.

A little pricy, but I can do it in phases so I spread it out a little over time.

He said it's also called "Hydrographics".

Thanks.

they had just came out with the brushed aluminum, can't wait to see what it looks like. post some pics when you get it back. whats cool is you can pick the pieces that you want to have the look, kind of a personnal custom thing, instead of picking through sets that are already offered. i know i wanted a mix of flat and molded but most places were hassling me about breaking up sets. anyways good luck lariat.

Nytling92, I have a dashboard in my truck that is scratched. It is the piece above the gauges. I am thinking about having the dealer replace it. It is still under warranty. Was it a big hassel to remove it ? Thanks. Bob
