Question Couple of mods I plan to do,submitted for your approval

I have wanted a new set of rims since I bought my truck 2 years ago,but all options have seemed ugly,(IMO) or Extremely expensive(out of reach)
The AR rims I was thrilled to find, are also way out of reach(M.S.R.P. of $437 per wheel??LOL) What do you think of these,I have a tan truck and most chrome or polished rims just don't look right(again,IMO) BTW,these are also AR,but much more reasonably priced

And this brings me to the idea I have had all along to put some 6 inch round driving lights in the grille. I do actually want them to protrude through the grille,as pictured. again, what do you guys think of this?

Let me know?

like the wheels but not crazy about the lights in the grill. love the front view without the lights. i think lights take away from overall beauty of front--they seem to stand out to much and all the attention is drawn toward them and not the over-all front view. just my opinion---i know guys that loves lights will shoot me down--lol
your truck looks good no matter what.

opps forgot to tell you i have a tan truck too.(arizona beige)

Your truck looks really good the way you have it now. Of course a set of (IMO)bigger wheels and low profile tires would be the pefect addition. About the lights? Not for me.

Alf

PS. Check www.superbuytires.com I got my wheels from there, 299 each.

Lose the lights. Otherwise would be cool. Steve

You've got my approval on both ideas
Those wheels are pretty sweet, don't remember seeing that pattern. I think the lights look pretty cool, but (to me) would be a bit much for a lowered truck (if that's what you end up doing eventually). Either way it's your truck and whatever makes ya happy go for it.

Hey thanks for the opinions guys,I actually do appreciate someone elses views.
netwurk,I did entertain the idea of rally style lights with a molded into the bumper look. But I thought it might look too busy for a clean look.
Yours look great,though!
Those Alessio's look fine,Alf. I have been searching for a wheel that I like for two years. I am thinking about painting the centers of the wheels I posted above. Maybe changing them to
a charcoal, and leaving the polished outer rim intact. The whole general plan was to take on an older Mustang look,as the grilles are a similar shape. Still may do it,,,,,,,,,98

Why not put 4 lights in the grill? Would look sweet, and confuse some people going the other way when driving with everything on.

As for the wheels, chrome look much better with that color. I have a Camry as my 2nd car the same color, and have had many diff. wheels on it. The best are some chrome 5 spoke that look pretty similar to your pic. But then they're 18" with 35 series rubber bands on 'em.

Ok, I like the wheels. Make sure they ar at least 19s. And put the lights behind the grille. I'm thinking of selling my brush guard. Any takers local to Tampa/St. Pete area? I've had it since Nov. 2000. It's the GSP Safari guard. It's in mint condition. I'll take $200 for it. I want a Pre-Runner bar.

Hey lariat,
I plan to use 17's or 18's,don't want to go too radical with the Houston streets They let 18 wheelers drive through neighborhoods there.
Probably will go no lower than 55's for tire height.
The city I'm in right now(Detroit)has the worst roads I've ever driven on,though. The streets at home will feel like riding on air after this place ,,,,98
Still haven't decided on a grille,though,Hmmmm

Thumbs up

98Screamer- Definitely go for the rims. Lights behind the grille would look much cleaner and compliment the Stillen airdam.
