stull billet grille
Hey People......I just recently found out about this page and that was after I had ordered a billet grille for my rig. All of the posts that I have read on this subject seem to be horror stories. Is it really that hard of an installation? I'm plan on throwing it on tomorrow morning so any advice is appreciated.

It's really not that difficult, it's just sort of a pain in the butt reaching through, over and around things to get it right. Be patient and expect some scrapes & nicks on the hands and forearms!
Good luck...

As the above post related, take your time and you'll get it done. It is more hassle than I had thought and the directions are not that good. Have to figure out some of the stuff. Cutting the grill out of the chrome shell is a pain even if you have the right tools. This is the area where you'll really want to take your time and get it right. The rest of it is alignment and mounting. It is definitely best to have a friend close for some of the alignment. From start to finish, I was done in 3 hours but I took my time. I put the stull in my grill and bumper.

Howdy!
Brian98f150,
It really is a very simple task but requires more time than you would think. Having a small rotary tool with the correct attachments would help a lot too. The really difficult part is figuring out a way to modify the Ford emblem "studs" so it can be attached to the new grille. Mine had to be custom modified. LOL.
Have a nice day.

I have installed the STULL Polished Grill and bumper insert on my 98 expedition....The installation instructions are not that clear. However, after about 3-4 hours, my truck had a new look.
TIP: Put masking tape on the grill to protect it from scratches during your installations. Especially for the Bumper insert. Once bolted in just peel the tape off. Your hand will heel....hahahaha!
