Hey Stamped, I live in Orlando and I know of a couple others that live in close that are using the clear corners. Personally I use the amber bulbs so I do not get hassled by the local cops, but that is a matter of choice. To answer your question I think they are not legal because the law requires that the amber lens be there. However, this is why I leave my amber bulbs in, still looks the same when they are actually functioning, but look sweet when they are not! Hope this helps you out. Have a look at some past topics I think there are some other posts about this.

I think the same applies to the rear lights. I know Lariat4WD uses both the clear corners and lightning clear tails. As I said I think the clear lens (both rear and front) are not legal, unless they are DOT approved. (having some kinda of reflective material on them) However, if you do use them it seems to be that you can slide by using the same color bulbs that were in there without getting a hassle. Just my advice, pls read some of Lariats, and KIng James posts on previous pages in the this topic. As far as which bulbs you use, that is up to you.

It's not the clear lense that's the problem. It's perfectly legal and I believe even white bulbs are fine for parking lights.

The problem is that an amber reflector is required so if you install clear corners, you loose the clear reflector. And I believe you also have to have amber turn signals, hence the benefit of leaving in the amber bulb.

I'm not the law but part of this I learned, if it's true, from a post https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/001082.html

The reflector thing is standard stuff. The bulbs I'm not sure of, but it sounds right.

By the way, I just installed clear corners and kept the amber bulb.

Here are your statutes...They refer to the lamp color only...not the lens color...The only requirement on the lenses is that they must be D.O.T. approved...Some aren't...The cop would have to be in a really bad mood or a real a$$ (they are out there...Read FHP) to write you for the D.O.T. approval. Have fun and good luck!

I've been from one end of the country to the other, with my clear front corners. Not a single law
enforcement official has ever given my truck a second look. I forget that I put them on sometimes.,,,,,,,98
