Question

I don't have any pics of bumper covers but I do have a questions about your TB spacer.

Sweet truck BTW. How did your spacer do against the Poweraid? I was looking into getting one and saw your post and checked out your site. (Camero's Suck!! way to go Ford!)

Was there a noticible increase with the TB? Either your's or the Poweraid?

Thank!

Wink

Hey Biggins...

Thanks for the compliments on the truck

As far as the spacers go. I've just got my 1" ready to go into the truck and I'll try and race it next week to get some numbers to compare. At this point I've played with several 3/4" spacers I've made (different diameters and tapers) and they work about the same. There is a noticable (butt dyno) difference in low end grunt over stock and that's with very little whistle. I've installed and ran with the poweraid to get a feel for it and it doesn't feel different than the spacer I built, except the squeeling cat . Some say the spacer doesn't help (Neal..aka Hp freak), but on my ride it felt like it did. The track will prove it. As far as getting one..save your money. The amount of money would be well spent on a K&N FIPK or a muffler job. Plus if mine work as well or better than Poweraid..I'll be selling them (of course F150online member will be getting a discount) probably for $40. But we'll see next week. I'll post over in computer chip or aftermarket section.

Question

I've narrowed it down to the Stillen bumper cover and the Street Scene bumper cover. What have you guys paid for these? Stillen is $369 and Street is $282 (both urethane). Any info would be appreciated.

Question

Have you considered the Lightning bumper cover? It looks nice and it is probably cheaper than the aftermarket ones.

Hey Bigworm...
Nice looking Expy! Actually that the first question I asked the dealer's bodyshop after I took the truck in to get the quote on damages. The dealer said I would be looking at 500-600 bucks, plus he mentioned some other parts that were needed that may increase the price. Then he leaned into me and said buy an aftermarket bumper cover... So that's when I started looking. The prices I've been seeing are from 280-350 for the cover. And another 80-100 to paint it. Cost to repair the bumper was $800 .
