Cool

Pawn;
On the back side of the wheel directly behind the switches are little disks. Pop this disk out and the bulb is in there.

ThePawn-

The two "disks" on the back of the steering wheel...they cover the two bolts that hold the airbag on. You can remove them (the bolts, 8mm), but dont unplug the airbag (connector on the bottom) you can unplug the horn circut (connector on top of airbag) However, If I recall, The bulbs, are actually very small Led's mounted in the button itself. something that wouldn't easily be replaced by itself. The buttons and related wiring are a "single unit" Had mine replaced when the leather steering wheel was installed (lights were the wrong color).

Shark99,

Thanks, I found this out the hardway. I took the airbag off and stuff and remove the module, pulled up the rubber top and found no bulb! Eep! Now I can't get the rubber piece to go back in.

Well, when I take it to the dealer for the doorcrack, I'll get him to fix it.

When mine went out in my wife's Explorer, they replaced the whole switch. Couldn't just replace the led bulb. Cost around $50. Expensive bulb, but that is the only thing that has ever gone wrong on that car which now has 75K on it. Can't complain, too much.
