B's97150 the headlights mounted on to the orginial clips just fine, they pop right in. I didn't put the L corners because I got the crystal clear corners from http://www.procarparts.com they match up great. I am sure that the L corners would fit just fine. I am going to get a battery for my digital camera today, so I will get a picture asap.

I believe the headlights would fit, but the corners mount differently than the newer ones.

Ford6mann, is right!!! The corners won`t fit. But the headlights will no trouble at all. The reason the corners are different is the header they mount into on early 97`s. Anything before 7/96 have a removable header piece. The later don`t have this option. The header is a part of the piece behind the grill. I hope this helps!!!!! So , I`m not going to get the new style Lighting Head lights ,it just wouldn`t look good to me with the old corners. The lines won`t match.

I just installed the '01 L taillights. Awesome, baby! When installing them use 4 stainless steel fender washers the same diameter as the factory screw washer on the screw and tighten snugly into the holes in the lights. The washers CAN be a little wider, if you can't find ones with same diameter. Take off the factory bulb assembly off of the extra clearance light not used. Be careful when pulling the tabs, so not to break them off. Put some die electric grease over the pigtail connection, then electric tape two pieces over the grease, one on each side of the wires. Then wrap a piece around the two pieces and the pigtail socket. Save the bulb socket with the stock lenses when you sell the truck. Use the new bulb assembly with each new light, utilizing the grease and tape method again. Also, place some grease in the bulb connection. Tuck the extra pigtail in the opening where the wires come through. This should protect all wiring. Good luck. P.S Anyone know how to adapt the '01 corners to an early '97?????
