Anyone do this to 2001 mirrors?
I want to convert the mirrors on my 2001 XLT to the new signal mirrors from the Lariat. It seems like it would be much easier and less expensive than adding the Muth syle glass. Are the housings the same? All I would have to do is order the mirror covers from a Lariat and plug them into the harness that is already in the door and replace the old covers right?

Hi,
Please let me know how you come out. After looking at the 01's, with the small light on top, I have thought of doing the same to mine. Doesn't look that complicated to me either.
After the trouble I hear from those with the Muth lights, I decided not to purchase them.
