Question taking of the side f150 imblem!

if I take off the side f150 imblem, is there going to be those two holes? Someone told me today that my 99' modle might just have some heavy duty double sided tape, and if it does have holes, is it pricy to get that shaved. thanks

They definitely have holes. Although I have never taken mine off, I do have a couple of extra side emblems (courtesy of my Bud who works at Ontario Truck plant) These extras (from a 99 or 2000 not sure) have the little plastic posts/tips whatever you call them.

Sorry for the bad news.

bummer, i had the same Q. What can you use to take the residue of the stickers off of the truck after you get the things off. And I guess I will have to get mine painted. Crap.

"Goof Off" would probably work taking off the adhesive residue. As with any product, you should probably test on a hidden area. As far as I know the stuff is safe to use on finished surfaces, but who wants to take chances with factory paint?

Let me know if it works out.

Yes there will be holes. But if you are looking at replacing them with the L badges then you will be okay since they use the same holes. As far as removing the sticking stuff. I took off my side modling last night and used fishing line to get it started and baby oil to saturate the sticky stuff and it came right off. Always test a hidden area first!!!! Goof Off will probably work as well.
