Post Install probs on Altezza

Did anyone have the same problem installing the Altezza's with the plastic studs coming out the back of the lens? I have a 98 Flareside and the lens didn't fit completely into the slot. I just took a saw and cut them off then sealed the holes with silicone.

JLG222; Yes, I had the same problem, plus had condensation get in them. Got those out with a hairdryer, but it left small water marks inside. This problem, I understand according to Car Wear, is common for the supercrew, but I guess now for the '97 & '98, also. What you did by cutting the tube tabs flush is the correct solution. Good job! They do look sweet, don't they?!!!

I was thinking of getting lights for the rear of my red truck, but had seen a pic with them and the red colors clashed. It just didn't look right. Is that what you found? I figured I would just leave the factory red lenses since they match so well. I don't think I'd like full clears back there either.
