Question Clear Corner Lenses

Can someone tell me where to buy the Euro Clear lenses like they have on Autodynamic.com? I placed my order with them five weeks ago and they keep telling me they are backordered yet it shows IN STOCK on the website. I am fed up, but only paid $30.00 for the set, and from what I see that is extremely cheap. Anyone know of other cheap places?

Thanks,
Melissa

Question

mikebourg,

Are these lenses the ones like they sell on autodynamic.com? I just want to make sure I get crystal clear ones, because I saw a picture of some that looked as if they had a yellowish tint.

Do yu remember the ebay seller you bought them from?

Thanks,
Melissa

I'm getting the DOT approved 2001 Lightning corners and headlights. Already ordered the tails. Will be here 03/01 sometime.
This way I don't have to convert my wiring harness nor do I have to worry about the police pulling me over for my lights. 100% legal.

luvmytruck,
They are just like the OEM except that the amber lens is clear rahter than amber. I got mine from javforever. Super seller to deal with. BTW, have you worked out getting that recording of the dual sport yet and how do you like it still? Is there any sound in the cab at highway speeds?

lariat4wd,
I ordered the 01L headlights and corners too. I did it the day after I won the eBay auction. I will use the clear corners until then considering we still do not have a good handle on the delivery date. I am trying not to think about it because I am so excited. They are sweet!

luvmytruck,

Don't confuse the clear corners with Euro Clear. The $30 ones at autodynamic are just the clear corners. Like mikebourg said, they're like the OEM but without the amber reflector.

I hear ya about the backorder. I ordered them a week or so ago and got an email the next day that they were backordered. I accepted there offer to cancel. I suspect they didn't cancel and in about 3 months some will show up at my door step. I guess I'll keep them at that point since they'll be free.

It's hard to beat the $30 price tag, unless you got to eBay.

I was under the impression the factory corner bulbs were also amber. I thought some people just replaced the lense, but kept the amber bulb. What am I missing? I thought you kept the bulb that is currently in the truck there and just replaced the lense - which will now be clear.

I bought these on ebay...

Are they okay?

I make such simple things so difficult!

luvmytruck,
Yes you can do that...most of us went out and bought a clear bulb so the amber one doesnt reflect through the clear lense....Dave

Thumbs up

Holy cow Melissa, that's was a great deal, it looks like. Euro Clear Corners for $26? Is that right?

I'd love to see what they look like with the stock headlights. I want to order Euro Clears al the way accross but just can't get up the nerve. (my wife may make me sleep in the Expy if I keep this up)

Here are some pics of diff setups.

Left is from 6/96 to 6/97. Right is 7/97 to current. The one on the right is one of the clear corners I got. They didn't specify which ones they were on ebay.

This is the assembly you have to take out to get the corner light out for trucks manufactured 6/96 to 6/97. The arrows point to the screws that need to be removed to get the corner off. I'll post some more pics of how to remove the assembly when I get them developed.
