Thumbs up

got this link from another post (the 5.4 emblem post...same thread as this one). Just checked it out yesterday and I like what I see. They're a little pricy, but I don't think that many other people will have them....makes them kinda unique!

Talking Hitch Accessories

Is there anywhere online you can buy hitch accessories. I.e., the inserts for your hitch? I wanted just the standard "Ford" emblem.

Thanks in advance,
Melissa

Wal-Mart has them. They're made by Bully and they sell for 19.99. They're pretty good quality too. Discount Auto Parts has them as well.

Cool

Crew Coach,

This recruiting class is awesome! I was checking it out at ESPN.com....the only thing that ticks me off is the number of Texas guys heading to Okieland! Man, if we could just keep the talent here, there wouldn't be any question of what teams lead the nation! I'm glad we're getting back to the running game, even though Major and Simms are pretty awesome passers!

I got my Longhorn hitch cover from the University Co-op. It's really nothing special at all...looks like a Longhorn sticker on a chrome plate! I wish that the MGWLTD.com people made a hitch cover...that would look cool!

I just got a Bully stainless steel trailer hitch ball mount as well as a stainless 2" dia ball. (Got the mount from a local shop, the ball from JC Whitney) I plan to leave that in all the time because it looks nice, and if I decide to pull something (e.g. my 26' Bayliner), I'll use the old crappy rusty, chrome-at-one-time ball to pull it. But at least in the mean-time, I'm protected from those who like to park by feel.

Hey Longhorn4x4,

Now you're talking!! Cedric Benson is the messiah taking us to the promised land.

Found a hitch cover (chrome) with a Longhorn w/ 'TEXAS' over the horns locally. Also, has other designs and big twelve schools, but who cares. Price was about $29.99/ea. Horn to horn dimension is about 8" and stands about 3 and half inches high.

Thanks for the link Crew Coach! I need a new one now, the paint faded off of mine. I'm thinking the mirrored one with the black "G".

I agree w/ LoCo150. I have the "Ford" logo brake light in place of my trailer ball and it simply plugs into the electrical connection for the trailer. You can use your own pin, however I chose to bolt it on and use a lock-nut to prevent an easy theft. Paid $25 at my local speed shop.

heres another idea,

buy a cheap traler tongue from walmart or something, take off the logo and attach a lighted logo. its pretty cool looking. then all you have to do is put a couple of splices into your trailer wiring with some quik disconnects. that way its easily removed,

just another suggestion
