Question Removing Mirrors to install turning lights

Does anyone know how to remove the mirrors on the door? Do I have to remove the chrome cover and work from there?

Reason being because I have an idea to install a set of custom turning lights on the side. I wanna try this before I decide to spend a lot of money on the actual mirror fixture with the turn signal already installed. If the project works, I'll post pics and show how it looks.

Look under or do a search on muth mirrors.....but all you have to do is pry them off, the mirror pops off a ball it pivots on.....has 3 or 4 guide screws that just slide in and out.........not a hard job at all.......DAVE

Cool Mirrors

I have a 1998 ford f150, and it has the stock mirrors on it. But I bought a pair off of e-bay that should be here soon. They are the kind that you would find on a 2000 to 2002 model. How do I go about getting the whole mirror off the truck?

take your door panel off or actually if you have a 98 u may just need to take off the panel that goes up in the corners of the door panel like where the mirrors would bolt to.
