Brighter headlight and driving bulbs???
I have a 97 4x4 with factory driving lights in the bumper. I would like to upgrade my headlights and driving lights if possible, with brighter bulbs. Any suggestions? I don't want to add more lights or change the air dam. I just want to replace the bulbs with something brighter.
All suggestions appreciated.

the PIAA 9007's are pretty good and will give you more light. if you go with a higher wattage bulb as some have done, you risk frying the wiring/switch. Do a search for 80/100 and you'll see what I mean. The PIAA's use the same wattage but produce more light, so you don't risk doing damage to anything.
I ahve the PIAA 9007 super whites and CATZ voltage transformewrs, and it is almost like a HID set up, much cheaper theough.
I am looking for a supplier for replacement higher output stock fog light bulbs for y'all.

Thanks for the info guys. If I install the PIAA 9007, is that all I need? Do I need a new transformer also, or simply put in the new bulbs?

You just simply stick in the bulbs, that's all. I put some in last week. I'm very happy with them, definitely an improvement over stock.

I'm all for brighter lights, but what I do not want is the "blue" look to the lights that you see so often on the highways nowadays. I would like just a plain brighter light. Is it possible?

Mudder,
I remember that you had the ones from the online store. Do you think that the PIAA's are better and a noticible difference in lighting up the road. I had the ones from the online store for a while and I put the stock ones back in and they seem better. Thanks and what is thie deal with the new transformer, like where does it go and how does it work. -thanks steve

I have had piaa superwhites in my last 5 cars/trucks. I have no complaints. I have only had one bulb burn out but that was after 6 months and I bought the bulbs used. Heres a pic of my expy with upper and lower piaa superwhites.
