driving lights--what type?
I was looking to add some driving lights to the lower bumper on a 2000 F150 4x2. Any ideas on the type and where to buy? I was leaning towards round, very bright and clear. Anyone know about the blue-green tint? Thanks and Happy New Year.
I've been thinking about doing the same thing but haven't found anything I like yet.

Cooltrucks..
Nice way to do the lights. I found a kit for the F150 2wd made by Pilot that comes with the brackets like the ones you made, wiring, and 2 remotes. The lights are controlled by a remote similar to the keyless entry fobs. Wiring is as simple as taping into a 12volt source and mounting the control/receiver box. The lights automatically turn off about 20 sec after ignition is turned off if you forget to push off button on remote. The remotes have a dash mount or you can use them as a keychain. All in all it was a nice kit to install and is made directly for the F150.. I liked the way the lights were mounted on your truck and happened to find this kit in my search.
The lights are actually off but the camera flash lit them up to look like they were on.The kit I chose was the amber color but they also come in the white.
The kit if anyone is interested was the following:
PILOT Custom Series for Ford F150(2wd) 99&up
Kit # PL-131B for mounting in lower valance.
They also come in a non-remote controlled version.

2000 F150 SC, XLT, Bright Red/Silver 4x2,Auto, 5.4, 3.55LS,CD, sliding rear window, Tow package,Captains chairs,Remote Entry, Ford Bedliner, molded splash guards,Stainless step bars and bed rails.
FM40 single in/Single out the side.Clear Corners just installed.Pretty much stock now but waiting for performance mods to include FIPK,,Superchip, new wheels/tires and new audio.

2000FordStyle: Your lights look good. i have to replaces my passengersides foglight buld again though. its the 3 time it has went out.
I like how you dont have to have your front plate on. I wish i didnt then i would put a set of white lights in the middle. I am thinking about getting a different grill and putting a set of kc's behind it.
here are some pics i took the other night of my lights.
