i just a a pair of clear corners for my 1997 ford f-150, i really like the way they look and everything, but i was wondering if i needed clear bulbs, are they illegal to have clear corner bulbs? and where can i get them and how much do they cost? thanks

 

You'll have to use amber bulbs on the street. Some come with the bulbs and some without. I'm considering them for my Expy too.

Where did you order them from and for how much if you don't mind me asking? I found 2 places, one was about $54 the other $29. I'm trying to find out what the difference is.

Anyone with knowledge of which ones are the better quality I'd love to hear about them.

i ordered mine from Autodynamic.com for 36$ that was including shipping. you have to use the stock amber bulb, cause the white is illegal, you could probably get away with it though. My clears have held up fine. from the texas heat , to the mild snow that we had. i havent had any problems with the law either, i have the amber lights in mine.

 

I have always used clear bulbs in my corner lenses, two years and no problems with cops... Does anyone have the new Crystal clear corner lenses yet??

Depends on what you want by clear. If you get a clear bulb, it will not be clear, at least on mine anyways. They are a light, light, light amber on my clear corners w/ clear bulbs. I put super whites in my corners and they look pretty good because I have super whites in my headlights. I just recently had to put new super whites in the headlights so the colors of the light aren't the same, bummer .

But to answer your question fordteen33, our corner bulbs are #3157. Almost every manufacturer of light bulbs sells that model. Places to look for em: Pep Boys or Kragen Auto Parts, or Autozone. Been to each one and each one sells that bulb.

I put clear corners on my 98 Expy. The stock bulbs are already amber. The new lenses still shine amber when the lights are on. I have yet to find a pair of bulbs to match my PIAA super white headlights ao I left the amber bulbs in.

 

I just bought a set of crystal-clear diamond backs, I like the way they look... One of my superwhite lights burnedo out yesterday, so I'm running the ambers at the moment... the superwhites look SOOO much better in there.

Bought my superwhites(headlights) from carparts.com, and my superwhites(corners) from autodynamic.com. I like the color on my carparts's lights but can't find superwhite corners on that website. Anyone have those bulbs from carparts that have a corner bulb that looks similar to those superwhite headlights??? Thanks
