Question Which Grill-Brush guard?

I'm looking for a grill or brush guard for my 4x4 Supercrew. Most people like the Manik on this site. Has anybody seen the new GoRhino? I'm leaning towards the stainless. I just think it looks better. The new GoRhino 7000 series is stainless thats chrome plated. What's everybody think? How about price? Lots to consider huh? I like the step in front of the GoRhino but I don't have to have it. I'm open to any and all input. Love this site!

You will probably get a lot of responses to this. I personally like the one piece designs as they are 10X stronger than the three piece designs. I chose mine for the 5 year warrany on rusting (upstate New York - metal and salt don't mix). I see a lot of people have the Manick (sp?) gaurds. I couldn't find it in a one peice. A buddy was invloved in a deer head on at 55 mph with the type I have. Hit the passenger side of the truck and bent the headlight portion of the grill back about 3/4 of an inch. Cuased the deer to go under the truck rather than over. No damage to sheet metal. Just my .02 cents. It all depends on what you are after strength or looks. There are a lot out there.

Cool

Well, if you want strength then you better get a Ranch Hand. I just like my Manik for looks, and to hold some lights. Manik, Go Rhino, Rancho, Polar Bear, Westin, etc.... they are all the same when it comes down to it.

I too went with the Manik stainless... looks like chrome but will NEVER rust! Why on earth would you need to chrome plate stainless?! Still can't figure that one out.... I'll have better pix this weekend....

I like the look of the Manik better than some of the others the way the upright pieces lean out to follow the body line in the hood and grille.

Just my .02...

GiJoecam,
I too like the one piece. It just seems it would be stronger. I do want one that's pretty tough. But I prefer the stainless. I guess your right...really don't need stainless chrome. The Manik looks great on your truck. Hell, whatever kind ya get they all seem to look good. What's a stainless costs?

I paid $700 for mine. Did the install myself... it was a piece of cake... took all of 45 minutes and 10 bolts. I even get to do it again Wednesday... It turned out to have a defect in the material so Manik is replacing it for me.

I have been thinking about putting a grill guard on my 2001 SCrew. One of the models I have been looking at is the T.C. Grille Guard by Go Industries. The problem is I am told that I will have to modify the plastic apron below the bumper. Are these types of modifications requires for the Manik? I prefer not to alter the apron, I may want to take it off in the future.
