Laird,

You must have just watched Trucks on TNN. I saw them apply some Street Scene mirrors on a Chevy. They look awesome. I searched myself and found a this: http://www.streetscene.com/. They are not affiliated with Street Scene Equipment http://www.streetsceneeq.com/ but they sell their products. They do come in black and they are easily painted. I don't have a figure on the fee to paint them, but it should not be much. Hope this helps!!

Post street scene mirrors

I just did a search for street scene mirrors and to my surprise, didn't find much at all. Anyways, it might be time for me to get myself a pair of these. Where is the cheapest place to get them? They come black right? Even though I have a black truck, I would still need to get them painted to match exactly correct? What is the average cost a shop should be charging to paint a set of these?

Thanks for any info
-josh

I am about to order some from AIM industries. Manual mirrors are $59,and the electric are $119. These are the lowest prices I've seen anywhere!! They have the regular and Testarossa style both for the same price, and come in black......From what they say in the ad.,these are the same mirrors as the street scene, but I'm guessing they get them from another supplier. They quoted me a price of $139,shipped. good price!

98SCREAMER,

I've always been interested in the quality of those mirrors from AIM. If they aren't pieces of junk, then that is an awesome price. PLEASE let me know of the quality of those mirrors when you receive them.

Thanks,
josh

I had the manual mirrors and just replaced them recently with APC's Road Vision mirrors. They supposedly come in black, chrome, and carbon fiber, but I've only found them in black. I personally wouldn't want either of the other colors, but to each his own. I was a little worried about how they would look on the truck since I hadn't seen any other F-150s with these, but they turned out alright. I had contemplated painting them to match the body color, but I think that the black looks just fine the way it is. May eventually have to paint them black because of fade or whatever, I'll have to wait and see how it goes.

Try www.trucktoyz.com Below copy of the message I got when I requested prices for the Cal-Vu mirrors:

>>> We don't have the Cal-Vu mirrors in stock. We have the Sportage power mirrors that look just like the Street Scene mirrors for $249.95 painted. Mark<<<

I did not order them because (once again) I ran out of money lowering the truck.

I did however ordered the clear corner lights from them with no surprises.

Hope this info helps!!

Alf
