I have the clear lenses that have the small red lens where the backup lens is on a stock light. I rewired this red lens to flash with signals and brake lights. This keeps them 50-state legal and the still look good. I have no backup bulbs in my taillights but have auxilliary backup lights in my bumper. My truck is an F-250 Superduty but the rear end is the same. I don't know whay you mean by "clear taillight covers" but I have black slotted covers painted to match. I think they really look good over the clear lights. Here are a couple photos:

I didnt mean covers I meant lenses, like the clear corner lenses, exept for the tailight, sorry for the confusion. I wanted to see a flare side, (I have a lightning) I guess I should be more specific, it seems as though they look good, they do on your truck, are they illegal straight out of the box?

First of all they look sweet!!!!!!but if they are totally clear w/ no red the are not street legal unless you have a Red Reflector that is noticable from around 1000 feet behind your vehicle. I have a reg bed on my truck if you want to see pics email me at loweredfordf150@netscape.net I will send you some if not just search on the net you will find some on a step side more than likely right here on the wonderful website.

Truckin4,
Where did you get the clear tail lenses that have the small red lens in them? Those are just what I'm looking for. (I'm a volunteer firefighter and I want to put blue strobes in the rear.)
If you got them locally or online please post any info here.

Thanks.
-Pete

CTfire,
The red and clear taillights are available from Godfather Customs. They are now only $79 per pair. I guess the price went down on them now that the euro clears are out.

keeper15,
Sorry I can't help you but I don't know the answers to your questions. I don't know if having the exhaust exit the rear allows some of the fumes to get in the bed or not...I wouldn't think so. I also don't think it would harm a trailer. If it was a diesel engine I would say different because of the black smoke but with a gas powered truck I think it would be fine. Like I said I really don't know for sure but maybe others will know and be able to answer your questions better. Thanks for the compliment.

Exclamation

I think he meant he wanted to see how the black truck and the clear lenses looked together before he spent the money. I was thinking about them...but elected to go with slotted covers instead. But, I have a flareside...the clears look funny on them.
