SVTAudio:

Don't get me wrong I like the looks of the Cervini's hood and the ram air is a plus, but its fiberglass, I still hold the same argument on glass hoods (they will eventually crack), about the cobra still, I have the reflexxions hood and can get them cheap.........they look like this sorry for the bad pics..........

Not all glass hoods crack. For $450.00, you can't beat this hood.

Hey TampaBayLightning, where did you get that cool chrome Ford Racing license plate? I want one of those!

BTW, why did Reflexxion discontinue the one curved cowl induction hood? That was the sleekest looking cowl I've seen yet!

fordicator:

I got the plate at the mall($25). I swap it with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers plate during football season...

I still don't understand why they would discontinue such a great looking cowl hood...

Tampabay,

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the hood you are refering as canceled is not the one on your lightning, but the Reflexxion cowl hood mentioned by fordification. If the one on your truck is discontinued, then I have to go back to the drawing board. I think the Cervinis hood is the nicest match to the F150.

Slick:

You are correct. The Cervinis hood is still in production for about $450. It's the Reflexxion cowl-type hood that has been discontinued. It's a shame, too. That was my second choice after the Cervinis.

I've seen all three(3) hoods in person and the Cervinis by far was the best fitting and quality workmanship.

While the Reflexxion(steel) was a direct replacement for our existing hoods, it didn't look radical enough for my taste, IMHO. I also wanted the future functional ram-air option....

The Cobra style hood lacked both fit and finish, again IMHO.
