If you don't mind driving to Omaha, there's a place called Action Auto Concepts, they can give you a quote to compare I'm sure. That's where I got my black luverne nerf bars. Seems like it was $225 or so installed. I don't have their number handy right now, but I would recommend them.

INAHURY,

I have the black Luverne Nerf Bars. They came with the truck and are now starting to rust a little (+3yrs old). I think I'm going to get rid of the rust and respray them black or put a rubberized coating on them like you can use for truck beds. They are strong though and don't get damaged easily at all. I also like the fact that they don't hang down from the body a lot, giving you a little more clearance for offroading.

Thumbs up

I've had those stainless Luverne nerf bars on my '99 F150 4x4 for about a year and a half now. I'm pretty happy with them. I got mine for about $230 plus shipping from an online retailer...I don't remember the name, but I could probably find it if you're interested. They are pretty easy to install, but you'll probably want someone to help hold the bars in place while you tighten all of the nuts and bolts. Somewhere on my pc I should have a picture or two of my truck with the nerf bars installed...if you'd like to see it, let me know and I'll see if I can find the picture.

Hey Matt, I would love to see those pics if you can find them without to much trouble. Sounds Like that is a great price I am going to have to shop around and see if I can do better that $270. P.S. Thanks for the reply.

Talking

Sorry to take so long to get back to you on this...I was out of town this past weekend. I noticed in another forum that you have already returned the Luverne nerf bars...would you still like me to send you the pictures or try to post them if I can find them? That's weird that they no longer make frame-mounted bars. I bought mine a year and a half ago and they mount only to the frame and are pretty solid. In the front, they mounted to an existing bolt that ran through the frame and in the rear, they mounted using a bracket and some existing holes in the frame. Sorry to hear that your's didn't work out for you.
