Talking Jupiterak, how are your lights mounted?

I like the round lights, How do you have them mounted? Any pics without the grille?
Do you have a bar running across with some mounting tabs welded onto it? Just curious, want the same look, but 4 six
inchers. I will do it while putting my billet
grille in,so to kill two birds with one stone.
Thanks,,,,98

p.s.I'm pretty good with a mig,so I just need some idea of what was done,if you
don't have any pictures,,,thanks again

Cool

Here's an early pic. when I only had the 7" PIAA's mounted. But when I added the 6" KC's, I went out and bought a much thicker "L" steel bar. I then welded them to the front radiator support.
I also trimmed off alittle of the horizontal fiberglass crossmember (the lens would touch the crossmember). So now it allows me to aim the lights more.
There's no problems so far. I haven't had to realign them yet. Make sure you aim/position the lights before putting the grille assembly back on. Good luck.

Is the staggered effect on the lights because of the difference in the lights' bracket heights? It looks good that way, regardless......Thanks for the pic,,,,98

Cool

I'm not sure whether it makes a difference or not. But I did also rotate the lens around 180* degrees. You can also use a couple thick washers as spacers; depending how high or low you want the KC's mounted.

Lariat4wd,

You can mount them on the crossmember, but I suggest you reenforcing it with something. The crossmember is just made of thin fiberglass.

Lariat that is how i mounted my lights. on that crossmember. i used 8 metal washers to reinforce it and they work great. i found this to be the easiest way to mount the lights. just had to drill 2 holes.
