Question White headlight survey

I would like to hear feedback on the superwhite head lights. I like the look but don't want to melt wires or the sockets or the lenses themselves. I know there are some out there that don't increase the wattage so melting should not be a factor with those. But if there are people out there with the higher wattages 80/100's let me know. What brand you have, and have you had any problems? Also, please tell me if they have the blue hue to them as I definatly do not want that. One more thing include cost and where you bought your bulbs. Thanks guys.

I use EagleLite 80/100's, no melthing, no hue.

I didn't up the wattage on the fogs though, only the headlights.

No problems with the PIAA bulbs. Pure white in color, too. I think they're 60/110.

Cool

Need shades to look at mine... PIAA HyperWhites 9007, same wattage much whiter no blue hue, also added a CATZ Zeta enhancement transormer and it really whitens/brightens them more... Now we just need those new headlights from SEMA!! The white looks good with a white truck..

I don't have them.... sorry.... I was considering them until I read that... a new harness sounds like a pain. I think I'll just add some KCs...

Here's a horror story.... https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/001158.html

Not mine, but it could be a problem....
I found a site last night that sold different wavelengths of bulbs that were stock wattages... I believe they are PIAAs, but I'm not positive. I'll try to find it when I get home tonight.

GIJoeCam,
That is my sole purpose of this thread, to find out if anyone else is having that kind of problem. And which bulbs are the cheapest and put out the best white light.

Please post price and where you got your bulbs.

I don't think the wireing in of new harness looks very difficult. I would do that on a later model truck after my experience. I think it is the plugs themselves that cannot handle it and it may be only recently 99 or 2000 maybe.
