What'd I do wrong?
Heres the deal. I put some white face gauges in my 97 f150 today and ran into a little problem. They didnt come with instructions so I figured I would go online and find them since the place I bought them isnt open on sundays(today) and I was much too impatient to wait til tommorow. Well i couldnt find how to install them on a ford f150 so i did with what others had said about other vehicles. I put them over the old black face and thats when the problem arose. When the lights are on i can only see the needles and the ends of the small gauges, meaning the extreme high and extreme low readings. I can not read teh nubers on the tach or speedo. Was i supposed to take off teh old black? It didnt look like that was possible to do so i didnt do it. In case it matters, I bought the white face off StylinConcepts.com Am I screwed or is there an easy solution?
Who made the gauges? If it was APC send it back and get your stuff from Roger. I had the same problem and tech. support was totally useless. They insisted I needed to leave the exising face on, but several guys on the board took theirs off.

What's up with everyone doggin' APC? I love my gauges. Even though I could've saved myself the $50 on installation, I'm still satisfied with them. They guy that installed them left the black face on. The tach could barely be seen and all my warning indicator lights could barely be seen at all, including my turn signal! I was pissed, but anyway, took them off and took off the black face. It's glued on kinda hard to the frame that holds it, with like crazy glue or something. If you plan to keep it, you have to be VERY careful when taking it off. Try lifting the black face and cutting where the glue is at. If you don't care about it, just yank it off, but still be careful. Hope this helps.
