Post Free Muth Signal Mirrors!!!

For all of those that have purchased the Muth mirrors in the past, they have recalled them and are replacing due to degradation of the reflective material.

Got mine replaced the other day.

Contact them at 1800-844-6616. They were very nice to deal with about this.

Good Luck!

You wouldn't happen to have the original mirrors that came with the truck? I need a drivers side mirror; mine is cracked and Ford wants $63.00 for a replacement.

All 1999 ford lariats were equipped with Muth signal mirrors.
Muth was the only provider to ford.

(this thread is over two years old)

good luck

I called Muth and they were very nice because my 98 Lariat mirrors were seperating. They promised to send me replacement mirrors but only sent one mirror. Oh well, at least they tired to make it right. I suppose if I call them they will sent the other. Muth is a good company who is willing to make their product right at their cost.

The web site is : http://www.muthco.com/

Drop them an email, I got a set for my truck in May-01, and just replaced them due to a similar problem.

The set on my last truck ( friend owns it now, see it every weekend ) still look new, no problems with them at all. Got them in 1995 when I got the truck.

FYI, I have been needing to repair/replace my signal mirrors (1999 F-150) because of the degraded reflective material for several years. I finally got around to researching this on the web today (Dec 21, 2005). The phone number listed below WORKS and the replacement program at Muth is still in affect. They will be sending replacements to me soon and credit my card back when the defective ones are returned. (The charge is $219, and then credited back upon return of the defective originals.)

This post is just to say thanks to those who posted this information previously! And the reps at Muth were exceptionally pleasant to deal with on the phone.

Thanks again,

Roy

You shouldn't have any further trouble with the replacements.
My replacements are about six years old now and are still clear.
