Cool Added back-up light

I added back-up lights today. I wired them to a double throw switch so I can have them come on with the reverse lights or when I need them (hooking up a trailer at night or just working need the rear of the truck.

This is where I mounted the switches

As you can tell I'm going to add 4 sets of lights to the front. 2 sets of 6" in the upper grill and 2 sets of smaller lights in the lower grill.

I cut the bumper with a Dewalt 18v reciprocating saw. Drilled holes at corners to get it started. Complete and detailed photos of the whole procedure can be found here.

Yo White Knight,

How exactly did you "hook into your towing wiring harness?" And what lights are you (and others) using? From the pics, these look like those fancy fog lights. True?

Thanks

Cool

Christopher,
I also installed some KC 55 watt lights Part # 517, check out some pixat.
http://www.zing.com/album/pictures.html?id=4294285863

I just had the Ravin exhaust installed tonight and had to remove my back-up lights, (I had dual pipes with 24" chrome tips mounted straight out the back, so I have to relocate the lights. I was thinking of replacing these with come 4" KC 100 watt lights. They are small (perfect size), round and extremely bright. I may just sell the ones I have now, not sure yet. What should I do? Hey Truckin4, I DO like your back-up lights. That is a great job. Very well done.

Nice truck pix...I love all the lights. I have a question about the B-Quiet soundproofing you installed. Have you had any problems with it coming off in hot weather? I installed B-Quiet just like you did and it oozed off and slid down the rear cab wall when the weather got hot...what a mess! I do not recommend it for this reason
