Question Should I paint my bugdeflector?

I got my Lund Bugdeflector about 2 years ago when I bought the truck. Well the thing is starting to fade and looks pretty bad in the sunlight. Here's my dilema should I paint it or not? It's already black/or smoke. But I was thinking about painting it black maybe to make it look a little less faded. OR...should I just spend the $$$$ and buy a new one?

Chief165,

Try painting it yourself and see how it looks. If you like the look but not the paint, then have it painted. If you dont like the look then get a new one. If you get a new one, then get a clear one and paint that black. It will look great for a long time.

Try only painting the back part of the deflector black.

Sorry I really didn't clarify. Besides the thing looking faded, there are some scratches and some spots that really bother me. What I was planning on doing was maybe primering the whole thing and then painting it black. I was hoping the primer would fill in some of the scratches and stuff. Does that make any sense? Just wanted to maybe get a consensius on what I should do! Thanks for the posts so far!

If you want to get rid of the faded look, try waxing it. I had an old cap with smoked windows that would look like new after waxing. It lasts a few months. Do both sides. Just my 2 cents.

Paint it, it looks real cool here is a pic of mine. I had mine painted on both sides so the painter would be able to prime it. Alot of people just paint the back but they don't use any primer.
