bubba joe,

you have to reach in thru the hole in the bumper with a flat head screw driver and push up on the clip as you pull on the grille. Easy does it though, 'cause you don't want to damage the facia that surrounds the grille.

hope this helps!!

Cool

I suggest that you remove the bumper. It will be a lot easier then trying to remove the plastic rivets that are on the fender.
As for the metal clips I had no trouble with them just pull straight out. It takes quite a bet of force but they will pull out. Just remember to put them back on before you reinstall the grill.

OK. I know this should be simple but how do the screws come out in the plastic inserts on the shroud under the hood? I was able to unscrew a few of the screws but the other ones just spin. I was afraid to pry to hard.

I love plastic parts.

Bubba Joe,

Had to take my front grill off yesterday to do some touch up on the fender.

For removal of grill with ease…

0) Tape up top fender edges to prevent scratches upon removal of grill
1) Remove retaining screws & front upper air deflector
2) Remove headlamps and corner lamps
3) Remove (carefully) pin type retainers under grill. 4 on each side
4) Remove grill screws (10 total)
5) Reach from above between radiator and grill to release 2 retaining clips. No tools required. May be pushed out by hand.
6) Slowly pull grill forward.

To install…do the reverse

Hope this helps.

Thumbs up

Tim56Ford,Unfortunately if the screw inserts does not screw off you will have to insert two small flat-heads on either side of the retainer and pop it out. Don’t worry, its re-usable. The only thing is you will need to be less-**** than I as you will mar the plastic. Hope this helps.
