Requesting Pic's of Black/Chrome Nerf's
$462.00, are they 24k gold? I knew they were high, but that's outragious. I'd go with a set of Westin's then. There plenty strong, and look just as good. I think the factory nerfs are powdercoated but I'm not for sure.

I think the factory Ford nerf's are the best looking on the trucks. I did not like the Westin, or anyone elses for that matter, they were all to "round". I priced the factory nerfs at 3 different dealers in my area (Philly) and they were all $350.00. The main part number is 16450 and I believe the exact part number for the black nerfs (like Spargo2) is F75Z16450FA. I plan on ordering myself a pair ASAP!

I have a tan 98 ext. cab and just put a pair
of westins on,blk powdercoat. They went
on like a factory set and look fine. I paid
$232 with tax, I think this is a high price
for two pieces of tubing and some brackets, but they look great and I'm happy
with them. I wonder how much profit they
make off of these things?

98SCREAMER,
Sorry to hear the price you had to pay for your Westin nerfs. I just ordered a set from Quality Bumper out of Phoenix and they were only $174(plus $13.00 shipping). I have a question however. Saw a copy of the installation instructions on the net and it says the support brackets mount to the body sheetmetal. Is this true or do they mount to the frame? Thanks!

I know you've decided, but the Factory bars
are the best looking, and most functional you can buy. $350, and it took me all of 20 minutes to install them. Spargo, keep the #2 (Go Rusty!)

My part number(s) for the F-150 factory nerf bars (like Spargo2 and rons)...on the box and sales receipt were:
FORD service part
XL3Z-16450-BAC
XL3Z-16450-BBC
(Made in Canada)
There is a left and right nerf bar and they will have to be mounted on the correct side..easy to figure out if you hold them up. Easy to install.
My cost for the set was $189.00 x 2 = $378.00 + tax. (List price was $421 each).

csacom,
Yes, got them at my Ford Dealer, and they do come out of Ford Canada. I don't know why, but my part numbers on my dealer invoice differ slighty from Dustoff's. At any rate, they are:
XL3Z*16450*BAA and
XL3Z*16450*BAB
They were $181.13 each, (so just over my first post @$350) for a total of 362.26 before tax. And like I said, they are easy to install, they mount to pre-drilled holes in the body, all you have to do is remove (or just poke a hole like I did) some tape that seals some access holes in the underbody. They even come with the bolts and body-nuts for mounting. I got them on after work without even lifting the truck in about 30-45 minutes, and had time after that for dinner and a beer. Good Luck!
