I've seen an earlier post about this before.... Someone had said/stated that the molding is applied with an adhesive strip, should be no holes to deal with. Double check with your local Ford body shop manager...

-kindest regards

Cool

Yes you can. Use fishing line or dental floss to go behind the molding tape to get it off. Then go back with something to remove the remaining of the glue and re-wax that area. Alcohol on a cotton ball will help with the glue and shouldn't hurt the paint. Just don't use any harsh solvents.

My guess is you could just pull them off. I own a flareside and Ford does not put those body-side moldings onto flareside trucks. So I bought the parts and put them on myself. It is true, they adhere with double sided tape. If you work slowly from one side, you should be able to pull them off the paint without damaging anything. Followed by rubbing alcohol to clean off the remaining sticky goo.

Thanks for the idea,

Well after I read the post I went out to the truck....looked at it for a minute....then proceeded to take fishing line and remove the mouldings. WELL, that only lasted for about 60 seconds before I followed Truckin4's advice and just pulled it off (thanks truckin4)
It came off fairly easily and then I rubbed the tape with my finger and it came off (a few blister though...but it was worth it) Then I used rubbing alcohol to remove the remaining "sticky". Then put on a good coat of wax..........LOOKS AWESOME!!!!!

Thanks for the idea guys

Later...Bigmike
