Post Lightning Mod

Alright, I've been wondering now for a while, is it possible to order the front spoiler and side lightning pieces from my ford dealer and put them on my 1999 reg. cab f150, or would there need to be modifications made?

Check out the classifieds on this site. Someone had the parts you want for sale for like 500 if I remember right.

You can get the ground effects through the parts dept at your dealer. If they like you the bumper cover is around $375 and the side pieces $480. I went with the Roush bumper cover, a little more expensive, $695, but I think it looks better

Modifications? Yeah, how about 150hp...

Fellas, c'mon. The Lightning look is awesome but replacing the badging is too much, IMO...

Not slamming you. I think it's great to change the ground effects and front spoiler.

But, this is why the R/T & LS-1 sites say that they've blown away our Lightnings...

Just my .02

Tampa, your right. Obtaining a great look is one thing. I've seen seen too many owners of stock 5.o place a cobra badge on the side, and I'm sure there is folks who feel that putting a Lightning emblem on a stock makes it bad a**, it's blasphemy and it's damn wrong. I don't think the intent on this thread here was to fool someone into thinking that the add-ons made them an L. Your truck is the SH** and I would in no way want to have no stinkn chevy think they smoked a Bolt. The idea here is to improve the looks on a great truck. Please forgive us oh powerfull one.

Cool

Hey Tampa,

You can take the L badges off your truck and put the regular F150 ones on. Then you can let people think they were beat by a regular F150.....LOL

Just kidding, but I kinda like that sleeper look myself.

Actually, I know a L owner that has done that.

I prefer to let them know what hit 'em....
