Exclamation Fog Lights

Well, I finally got my factory fog light kit today! I have the wiring harness and everything. What I was wondering is, can I just "plug" everything in, or do I need to hard wire it? Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Cool

So far no one has been able to just plug into their existing wiring. Part of the problem is the switch on trucks that to not come with fog lights do not have the internal parts to operate the lights even though they work the same. You will most likely need to use the wire harness' that came with the kit.

Can you just buy a new switch then use the factory wiring?

Cool

I did not try just adding the switch (I did not even use the switch), but the new harness also adds wires to the switch plug. I do not think just adding the switch will work. Can't hurt to try it though.

I put my Factory Fog Lamps on and didn't have to run the new wiring hardness, but did replace the light switch. Works great.
