Question Bug Screen for Grille

Hi all,
I saw a 99 or 00 f-150 the other day that had a Bugflector II on it, and also a mesh type screen over the grille. Kind of like the screen used with a bra, but it was only covering the grille area, not anywhere else on the truck. It has leather holding it together on the sides, and looks like it is tethered to the underneath part of the grille and inside the hood area. (You can't see any attachment from the outside)
I've searched a bunch of sites, and looked at PepBoys and Discount Auto Parts with no luck. Have heard "I've heard customers asking for them, but don't know where to get them from." Any clues who makes this? If I hadn't seen it, up close, with my own eyes I'd be thinking I dreamt it! I am planning on asking the owner, but can't find him at home. The truck is there, but no human!

Thanks,
sandi

If It's the same as the one that I'm thinking about it is made by LUND www.deflectashield.com Looked at their site real quick but didn't see it. The screen it held on by adhesive snaps that are placed on the grill. It comes as a kit with both bugscreen and wintershield. I bought one this winter and have yet to put it on. Now that its warmer I hope to get around to it.

Thanks for the hint. I checked LUND's site out and don't think that is the same one, but it may be worth looking into if I can't find the one I'm searching for now.

What I'm thinking of is not stainless steel, it's just mesh and it goes on the outside of the grill, but has leather stitching around it to hold it together.

Also, anyone know if there is this same type of board for Explorer owners?

Try Cabelas. I think they have what you are looking for. I noticed it while looking through my new magazine. Their website is Cabelas.com and a picture of bug screen is posted there. Hope this helps...
