Question Ventshades that don't attach with tape?

Has anybody ever seen window ventshades that don't attach with tape? I saw some on a show a while ago, but I can't remember who made them or where to get them.

They just pop into the top of the window track (where the glass goes up into the weather stripping). They look just like the ones that attach with tape, but you can easily remove them.

Check these out www.macneilauto.com

There's a video you can download that shows the installation. No adhesive...they slide into the track

I know they are out there. I seen them in the catalog they give out for free in the back of an airline seat. Sky something. I'm not sure who the manufacturer is but that's the only place I've seen them.

I had a pair of those on my last truck. They work just like the other ones but are not attached to the paint of the truk. I believe they were bought at Oriley or Autozon I am not sure they were a gift, but I believe this is where I have seen them. They are very easy to install.

silverback,

go check out the link that ND-BMW put in his message. It gives all the info about them. I don't think falling out is an issue with these. There's an installation video on the site that you can download. It gives a lot of info on the product.

Question

The weathertech or o'neil front window deflectors that are installed inside the window track seem to be very secure and of fine quality. i just installed them in my truck but i am concerned since they have cut the dew wiper (weatherstrip piece that runs along the bottom of the window frame)where the deflector edge rests on the dew wiper and pushed the edge into the window track. I am also concerned about putting undo force on the window mechanism especially with the door crack problem. Anybody incure the same problems?
