Cool Tube Grille

Recently the dealership I work for has started dealing with Choo Choo Customs. They do a nice job as far as I've seen. On the 4X4's they have installed a tubular stainless grille. Not billet aluminum slats, but tubes. It bolts on on top of the factory grille, and is cut out in a way to utilize the factory FORD emblem. It is a really sharp looking grille. Even though I have the chrome push bar, I still might be considering one of these. I can always order it through Choo Choo Customs.

I thought I'd just pass this nifty aftermarket item on to the readers, but I am also wondering if anybody knows who makes this?

Also, I have installed both the Stull and Peters Precision billet grilles, and have found the Peters Precision to fit better, and install easier, as you don't assemble the brackets since they're welded on, and the brackets are longer, allowing you to install it easier. Just my 2cents. No spamming intended.

The tube grille is made by J&J Enterprises I saw it on their website http://www.j-jent.com/default.htm

It looks like the easiest to install, and looks ok on the pictures on the website, but I'm gonna have to drive out ther and see it on a truck before I shell out $170!

Does anyone have this grille on their truck? IF so comments? And does anyone know of any other grille inserts that bolt on and look ok? (Beats the crap out of cutting up the grille!)

I checked out the website, and I also think the grill looks nice. Does this grill replace the existing grill, or does it simply fasten to the existing grill?

The reason I am asking is I am driving a leased 1999 Lariat and I want to customize it a bit, but I can't get too carried away with mods. I figure I can go with some simple "bolt-ons" to dress up my truck a bit.

I'm gonna drive out to the J&J store front to check it out in the flesh, but as far as putting it on - it simply bolts on the existing "eggcrate/honeycomb" grille insert. "No cutting, No drilling" just bolt it down.

I was flipping through my old TruckTrend magazine from August 1999 and they had a little article on the J&J Grille insert for the GMC Denali - it REALLY looks nice! I've gotta see it in person and hold it up against the truck - but Sycoholic says he say them on a couple of trucks and it looked really good. It's better than spending hours and hours doing it yourself or paying up to $200 bucks to have some shop do it. My .02

Cool

I think it looks nice. And you leave your Ford emblem on the existing grille. It is cut and "turned" to utilize the existing emblem. Pretty sharp.
