Post Billet Emblem Answers........Sort of.

I have noticed that some of you have asked questions regarding billet grille emblems, well I thought I would share with you my experience finding these elusive items. Billet Ford emblems and hitch covers are made by TM Machine ( 800-733-4463 )and are available in red, blue, black and plain aluminum. The easiest part to get was the polished hitch cover, witch is available through Ford Motorsport's 2000 catalog, part number is M-19520-F and retails for $46.95.
The grille emblems are another story though,
I called TM Machine after I got the hitch cover asking about the grille emblems. The nearest dealer they had to Chicago was in Moline, Illinois. Only 3 hours away. I called this dealer and they told me they couldn't get the emblems. Super! However, I did get part numbers. Small Ford emblem is # 96201. It fits the grille of '97-'98 trucks,
and all tailgates.Part # 96401 is a large Ford and fits the '99-'00 truck grilles.
I have a '99 Lightning and after calling several mail order companies I gave up on the large grille emblem, although I bought the small one from Stylin' Concepts and put it on my tailgate. As far as the grille emblem goes I bought another hitch cover from Ford and I cut the tongue off, put in the studs that came with the small emblem and my truck now has nice shiny billet emblems. As a side note, the billet hitch cover comes pre-tapped for the studs. Basically it's the large oval with a hitch reciever welded to it. So good luck to everyone trying to find this stuff, hope you have better luck than I did.
Later.
