I orderd a white faced Luminescent Gauge Kit for my '99 F-150 today! Got it this afternoon and installed it tonight. This has got to be the COOLEST thing I have bought for my truck since I got it. During the day the gauges are white and a night the "glow" with a luminescent light!!!! Pretty Cool!

 

Cool, I put one of those on my wish list for this summer! I bet those white faces look real sweet *droling*. How long did it take you to install it?

They do look cool! It took about 2 hours to remove and install the kit.When you do decide to do yours, I suggest LOTS of patience!!! Best of all they were resonably priced....Let me know how yours come out!

 

4byFord nice pictures of your truck the tires definately make a differance.I was wondering is that the lund frontrunner on your hood.I have one and was debating on having it painted or leaving it as is.Yours looks like as is to me.Looks Good.

F-150y2k, I got the gauge kit from Darkside Motoring in Chatsworth, Ca. The kit was 99.99 and they do have one for the Y2K F-150! Give the guy a call and he will ship them too ya! As for the difficulty level of installation, I would definitely recommend dedicating at least 2-3 hours of your time and a lot of patience! Their Phone number is 818-349-6221, and the part number is 20.2052 99-200 F-150. I will try to post some pics and installation procedures by next week, I will have to take the dash apart again to do it!

 

RouchFan, do you have a pic of the dash overlay? That sound very cool!

 

Barlitz, thanks! The tires really help the looks. The bug deflector is from Ford, I don't have any details other than that. I bought the truck used and the deflector was installed.

I forgot to mention that I wanted the overlay too

 

i like mine too!!! they look cool ,i think theylook better with the overlays you can buy ...too much white! i have a carbon fiber one.....

How difficult was it to install your gauges? I have been wanting to buy some but there are 2 reasons why I haven't. 1 - Shops are charging me more for the installation than the price of the gauges. 2 - I can't find a set for the 2000 yet.

Do you have to re-set your gauges or something? How easy do the needles on the gauges come off and go back on? Sorry so many questions but if I can do it myself and save $100-$150, I'll do it!
