Has anyone seen how the hyperwhite bulbs in the online store look? I am really picky as to which ones I put in. =) If anyone has any pics of their lights at night, I would greatly appreciate it. Anybody suggest a different kind of bulb that looks good? Thanks for all ur help.

If you want more feedback, go on over to "Events & Happenings" on this board & make a post in the Dallas/Ft. Worth rally or the San Antonio, April 14-16 threads & ask this question there & mention me. I installed mine at the First Texas Rally we had & all the F-150online members from here were there & saw the difference in person. They can tell you their thoughts. Mudder/Patrick just bought some too, due to seeing them on "my truck" !

Are the bulbs in the online store the PIAA bulbs or the Hyperwhite brand bulbs???
The store I work at sells the Hyperwhite bulbs for $20 a pop. That would be less $ for all four than the online store.

 

Dont get the Xenon bulbs.. the Krypton are much brighter!

I just put the ones in from the online store and I am not satisfied at all. They have the blue tint and I think that the stock ones are brighter. I don't know maybe I was sent the wrong ones.

You got the Xenon bulbs. Which are not very good. They have a lot of blue tint to them and are not DOT approved. You can get pulled over with it. The Krypton gas filled are truely white and a lot brighter. Take a look at the compairison on the web page. http://www.sportbikes.net/bulbsallvehicals.html .

I am sorry about learning the hard way. I also purchased the Xenon bulbs and got pulled over. I was let off with a warning and I took them out.

My girlfriend said she couldnt see very good at night. She now has the Max Super whites with krypton gas and she loves them!

Just some info for ya.

 

White Knight, you say that the Xenon bulbs are not DOT approved, does this mean the the Krypton Ones *are* DOT approved?

Yes the Krypton *ARE* DOT approved (c.v.c. # 25950) It fulfills white requirement for legal highway driving.

I'll have to disagree about all Xenon bulbs being illegal because the Sylvania Cool Blue lights have Xenon and are completely street legal. From what I have heard they are also getting a 9007 Cool Blue ready for the market.

Davensa - have you had any issues with many of the aftermarket products? I have states where even the HID lights are getting ticketed even though all of them are completely legal.

 

I've got the PIAA bulbs, and they make a big difference. My only advise is buy s*%t, eat s%*t. I bought some cheap ones before the PIAA's and they weren't aligned at all, and I got pulled over twice for the "blue" tint. I think I paid around $40. each.

I have just recieved the Wizard Superwhite bulbs from the online store and I am not satisfied with the result. The bulbs are just a higher wattage halogen with a "blue optical tint" applied. The first thing I noticed was the alignment was off. I believe this is caused by inaccurate deposition of the "blue optical tint" onto the glass surface. When I reinserted the orginal halogin bulbs the lights were perfectly aligned.
