Unhappy WARNING: Early 97/clear lights won't fit.

I have another thread going in this forum about clear corner lights. I ordered a set Monday and got them in the mail today. I went to put them on and they do not fit my truck. My stepdad has a 1997 he bought in October of 1997. I bought my truck in March of 1996. The headlight assembly is totally diffrent from his. So, if you have an early 97 model, the clear corner lights will not fit.

theres 2 "header panels" where the headlights mount into. yes you're correct, if you're like me and bought a 1pc headlight off e-bay then found out your truck was a pre 6-96 manufacture date (maybe it was 7-96? but somewhere around that date) and has a different setup for mounting.

good thing is an aftermarket one is easy to install and is cheap enough it doesnt hurt too much. i bought one from a local shop here for $40 compared to fords $150

just add libbing.

They will fit if you buy a late 97-03 header panel to replace your stock one. I had the same thing, $100.00 later newer header panel they work just fine. Real easy to replace, it just takes alittle time.
