Question Cargo tie down with a toneau cover

Since there are no cleats or tie downs at the top of the bed on an F-150 I was wondering what people used to tie down their cargo with if you have a toneau cover?

I found a cool product on Extang's site and was wondering if anyone has these on their truck? Go to http://www.extang.com/cleatsindex.html

I could not get the link or pictures to work. Has anyone else noticed that the UBB Code is OFF in the Appearance Forum???

Those cargo cleats look pritty cool. I sometimes use the brackets that hold the Extang frame to use as tie downs, but not for anything to heavy.
I am going to go the the place I got my extang cover, and see if they have those cleats, sounds like a good idea.

Cool

BlueFlareside, and Don C;
The EXTANG cleats are a fairly new product on the market, I saw them at the SEMA in Vegas last Nov. These cleats are very strong and are perfect if you own a tonneau cover. I called two places in my local area who carry Extang products and they have never heard of them. So I had to give the part numbers, go figure, Hey where's my cut? I own the Black Max and will be picking up a couple of sets soon. It's nice to see someone else mention these on the boards.

I am glad to hear that they look like they are pretty heavy duty and will last. Did you get any prices on them? Extang's site has them for $34.95 a pair. I have the Classic Platinum cover and love it so I am sure that their other products are just as tough.

Let me know how much you get them for and where you get them. I will try to track them down locally.

Cool

BlueFlareside,
I took this info directly off Extang's brochure.

Part number: 1932 1997-00
Retail- $35.95 pr (price the dealer will charge you)

Jobber- $24.97 pr (price dealers pay from Extang))

You should be able to pick a set up for a little less than retail, prices will vary between distributors.

Thanks for the info. I will have to get a couple of pairs. I will call my local trucking stores and see what their prices are.
